Midwives trip to Soe, June-July, 2024
I was accompanied by three Doctors, an ultrasound technician and two midwives for a teaching trip to the Muder Ignacia Hospital in SoE, Indonesia. Our group also included the husband of one of our midwives who speaks fluent Bahasa Indonesian which was an incredible help for translating during the teaching.
Oncology, Palliative care and Dermatology visit to Kupang June 2024
A team of : • 2 oncology expert health professionals- Consultant Dr Ganessan and Chemotherapy infusion suite Nurse unit Manager Joan • 2 Palliative care experts- Prof Tim and Nurse Practitioner Community Palliative Care Kate • Dr Gill FOHG team leader /Dermatology, • Yohannes Sebastianus ( Nus) liason and translation visited Prof Johannes Hospital Kupang in June 2024.
Maternal and Neonatal Health (MNH) Trip June 2024
In June 2024, a FOHG Maternal and Neonatal team travelled to the District of Nagakeo on the island of Flores, Indonesia to provide skills transfer to current health staff. Nagakeo district is roughly in the middle of the island, spanning the centre with coastlines to the south and the north.
Trip to Kupang/Bali January 2024
January 2024 saw a small team of 4 representatives from FOHG return to Kupang. The team was lead by Trish Green (microbiology scientist), Ann Whitfield (Infection Prevention Nurse), Laicey Colum (representing LifeBlood/Red Cross Perth) and Chantel Seaforth (Rehabilitation Physiotherapist).
